Canine Shiatsu
Canine Shiatsu is an Oriental form of therapeutic massage that uses pressure distributed between fingers, palms and thumbs- similar to other forms of Shiatsu. Using techniques like stretching and rotating the body can benefit the body by promoting relaxation and well-being. Shiatsu is a gentle touch therapy working with your pet.
By using these powerful pressure points similar to Acupuncture-
Shiatsu can boost your dog's immune system, improve circulation of blood, reduce tension, re-balance the body and re-energise.
I listen to your dog during a session and am guided with what he/she is happy to accept, gently working tight areas where tension has built up in order to improve range of movement and flexibility. My favourite thing about Shiatsu, is it treats the root of the problem not just the symptoms. Moreover, Shiatsu can improve free movement, which not only allows your pet to be more comfortable- especially with older pets who will potentially be developing arthritis.
